A real quick report on the Yankee so far.

Thursday

Great weather (for Boston)

Foot traffic - very strong

Buying - not so strong

Friday

Awfully cold - sub zero wind chill

Foot traffic - strong

Buying - very strong, much better than last year.

Saturday

There seemed to be less exhibitors in the hall this year. Aisle seemed a bit wider and booths a bit smaller.

The organizers of the Yankee were scanning the passes of all attendees. This will enable them to give the exhibitors REAL information about foot traffic, time on floor, etc. A step in the right direction.

The new convention center still lacks the surrounding attractions. Only 2 hotels within walking distance. More restaurants are cropping up ,however several dentists mentioned that their spouses and staff members like the old convention center which had the mall as well as 3 hotels connected to it.

Will let you all know how Saturday goes.
