Best or Worst Travel Day?

At the end of a long cotravel day in the heat of the summer the rep I was riding with had a tire blow out on the Garden State Parkway. We were in the left lane doing 75 miles an hour when it happened. So here we are on the left shoulder of the Garden State Parkway trying to change a tire that wouldn't come off. After an hour of dodging speeding traffic and dealing with a less than helpful New Jersey state trooper we were able to get the donut on and get back on the road.

Thats so normal, just when you need help....no-one bothers to help, only hinders you!

An emabarrasing moment for me recently....I was heading out on a long-distance drive to see a dealer and deliver a sales meeting. I had gotten 3/4 way in a 4 hr drive and suddenly realized I had left my wallet at home!
I was desperate to think of how I could gas-up to back home afterwards, let alone the one night's hotel.
This is what I foubnd out in my desparate situation....I had a key-tag for gas, so that was ok, I made a phone call to the hotel and very luckily I had enough of their points to stay that night free! Sometimes 'plastic' and travel-programs really save your behind!
