- I'm a dental assistant and dental product rep now launching my own new product line in collaboration with a world renowned hypnotherapist!
As a dental professional, I am certified to treat anxious and phobic patients, with a special interest in treating difficult behaviors (gagging, needle phobia, jaw pain/fatigue, restlessness, etc.). This new product line is aimed at reducing all of these behaviors, combining in-the-chair therapy with at-home therapy for extremely fearful patients, designed to reduce fears while increasing patient compliance, reducing missed appointments, etc.
The product will launch toward the end of January 2010.
I'm here on Dental Sales Pro to network with other dental professionals, trade marketing tips, etc... I am also looking into gaining membership as a recruiter, as I will need representation for my product as well.

As you may already know, hypnotherapy has been recognized by the ADA, AMA, and the British Medical Association as an effective alternative to sedation in the dental chair. In fact, in 2007 the American Dental Association integrated hypnotherapy into an approved dental school curriculum, so it is now taught as a sedation alternative in U.S. dental schools.
