Welcome to the group. I would first decide if you want to go into the dental operatory or dental lab field. Then just start sending out your resume all around either to some dealers or manufacturers. This industry has many revolving doors so one is always open. One of the best pieces of advise I ever received about this industry was to never burn bridges, our industry is very small compared to others and you never know who is going to around the next corner. Great to have you on board. Great story! You can post your resume in the job opportunity section of the forums. As far as advice, let's see...There are some many dimensions and opportunities in this industry. You may want to call your local Patterson, Henry Schein, Nashville Dental or Benco branch and try and get a sit down with the branch manager. Even if there isn't an opportunity at that branch they may be able to tell you where in the industry there is one. You can work on the dealer side, manufacturer side or sell direct, implants, equipment, independent rep, lab rep, technology rep...I am sure I am forgetting something...a lot of options.

The culture at Henry Schein is altogether different than most dental distributors. Although we are the largest (and best) at what we do, we have the feel of a small family run company. We feel, literally, like a family.

Except, of course, when you get to our National Sales Meeting...which feels like a HUGE political convention---minus the politics! And our awards ceremony almost feels like the Academy Awards.

You look like a fun guy, based on your pics. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet you at the 2009 Meeting!

Pearson is actually based out of Sylmar California. They do have a branch in Phoenix. They have 3-4 reps here and are looking to make a bigger impact in the market locally. They have a long way to go here but a decent company.
