The Nabisco plant is still there on Roosevelt Blvd. I think that they make the vanilla wafers there. Check out the link - Nabisco Philly. Not to get off topic, but the TastyKake factory isn't to shabby either.
My life b4 dental was heavy manual labor. A pump and well company in Central California, the guy who replaced me was killed in an on the job accident a couple of months after I left for AF basic training in Jan 1976.
And that's how I started in dental, USAF dental clinic for 4 years, a great foundation and I still use the clinical knowledge I gained there every day. Sure beats manual labor!!!
