Telesales - How to build a relationship.
Hi Guys. I'm fresh in the Dental Sales field and seem to be having trouble. I'm working telesales for a Dental Lab but building a relationship seems a bit tough to do over the phone. In my past life, High tech sales, I sold to companies like boeing and 3M. Most people seemed to enjoy talking on the phone about our product. Not here. Any advice?
What i'm doing now.
1.) Every print/email communication has a picture of myself on it. I try to make it seem like i'm there.
2.) Calling multiple times - trying to keep a constant presence.

I feel that I'm getting passed the "Gatekeeper" more often.

Great! I'm glad to hear it. I've found that they are more open to working with me and act as a middle man between me and the doctor. They are much more pleasant and less rushed on the phone which makes life a whole lot easier.
