CHICAGO MID WINTER - What recession?
Howdy Gang:
Out here freezing my tail off in Chicago at the meeting. The Hall was SLAMMIN' today and all of my clients had great sales reports. Hope it stays this way for the rest of the weekend. Interesting - a lot of dentists I spoke with said that they are coming to this show in lieu of others, especially ADA/Hawaii.
There was a gaping 20x60 booth space that they put chairs in...but not seeing any sign of a recession here. Some really new and cool product intros. Novalar Pharmaceuticals had a killer reception at the Museum of Modern Art - really a top notch event.
If any of you are out here - give a shout - and a report on how its going for you and yours...

Good to hear the show is good. My team at DentiMax has a booth there. I hope they sell some systems and bring back some great leads.

There is a really good chance that they will Anne - here's hoping you had a good one as well.
The show today was strong and consistent as well. I literally could not move in the Sirona Cerec AC booth today - lines upon lines for demos.
An amazing number of RDH's are at this show which is a great thing! Only bad thing I can think about the show - and this is the same thing every year - the taxi cab lines!!!!
Off to the House of Blues for the annual Cerec Event to blow off a little steam - have some fun and gear up for another day tomorrow.

Dentists were certainly in the buying mood this weekend! Most of of the people I was chatting with were all very pleased with their sales! I also sat in the new A-dec 300. It's very cool! I also have some blue hair for the Sirona party tonight.

Well, the neatest thing is that it has a neck cushion that slides up and down. So, when the chair is reclined, the cushion moves with your neck preventing any strain, and it gives the patient more support.
I also had a blast at the Sirona party!.

We had an outstanding meeting. Our new product launch of the ClikStik x-ray film/sensor holder system was well received. Traffic was extremely good for us compared to prior meetings and we ran out of product literature at one point. Overall considering the state of the economy we were very pleased with the CDS MidWinter meeting this year.

I was at the Florida Probe Booth and we did well. Friday was exptremely busy. Saturday seemed ok, but because of pending snow in Baltimore where I am from, United made me leave Sunday Morning and miss a whole day. GRRRR

Hi All,
For those of you who missed Sunday, consider yourselves lucky. The exhibition hall was a ghost town. Saturday was what we expected, traffic-wise (slow, but not dead), while Friday was indeed "slammin!" We took many more qualified leads than usual, as it looked like people were looking for the best return on investment rather than simply kicking the tires.

I agree with Stefan as Friday was the best day. Saturday was just "ok" and Sunday traffic was very disappointing. Perhaps next year with this meeting running Thur-Sat we can hope for better.

Didn't go this year, but sounds to me like it was pretty much the same as past years with regard to traffic. When will the "dental show gods" figure out that Sunday is a bad day, no matter the city. I am finally seeing this changing, it's about time!

Lab day over at the Sheraton was really good, traffic never stopped the whole day. It's nice to have a meeting that only lasts 1 day. People were in buying moods which is always a good thing and you never know just how many customers will follow that say "oh I met you in Chicago." The main product we were getting questions about were flexible partial systems.
I heard from a friend that GC had a record year at McCormick smashing all records and doing right around $500,000 in business.
