Cheap CE credits
I am a practicing dentist in California one of my friends reffered me to this group that offers CE credits at a very low cost so I checked it out and man It was an experience. It was cheap about $89 but I felt like I was attending traffic school, I don't know how they're allowed to run a business like this, well for $89 bucks how else do you expect to get treated. I couldnt even hear the speaker that wasn't that great, and I guess that by talking to some of the regular dentist's you don't have to wait there all day one dentist even said that he usually signs in and leaves or he calls in that following day after the class and ask's to get his CE certificates mailed to him without even attending, I guess many would say that its good that you don't have to wait there for 8 hours but does the Dental Board even allow that? can anyone give their input. they Also have a website check them out. www.pdsociety.com but for me I'll just stick to my regular CE classes where at least you'll learn something new.

Don't know much about the above referenced CE provider, but many of the local study clubs let their members leave and don't require their members to attend the entire CE course. The dentists will stay for their lunch and then head for the hills. Not all study clubs do this, but many do.
Delta Dental handles things well when they sponsor CE. The attendees must sign in after every break in order to get their CE credits.

The reality is that there is CE designed for everybody. Some dentists take CE to challenge themselves and expand their skill sets...others take just enough to maintain their license. Take a look here for a more humorous viewpoint: Dental Superheroes:
