Hi all, many on this site would agree that things are still a bit "tough" out there....some have had a decent year overall with their sales results, but it could have been better!  Now,  here's a question for you...are your results  MAINLY a function of the "economy"???  Even if the economy is one of the "culprits" for less than stellar sales results, what else can YOU do proactively to dramatically improve your results?  I have to share with you that over my many years leading and training sales teams in addition to the years I practiced dentistry, I've heard some interesting (for lack of a better term) reasons from salespeople as to why they aren't doing better.  Sure, sometimes your company doesn't do "what you want them to do" to support you, or they discontinue a product that you like, or the turnover in leadership is distracting. 2011 will be like all things in our life......it will be what we make of it.
The economy shows signs of recovery - but success will be determined by the quality of the product and the determination of the salesperson. If winning and losing was dictated by the turn of the page of a calendar we'd all be carry dateminders.
The enemy my friends is from within. Learn how to manage yourself - learn how to use tools and always diversify your efforts and you will be successful even during the toughest of times.
Winners are not the chosen few - rather they are the few that chose!
